Dear Friends and Family, 

I hope this email finds you in great spirits! I wanted to share an exciting opportunity that has come my way and invite you to join me in a cause that's close to my heart. As many of you know, I've always been passionate about helping those in need, and now, I've found a unique way to make a real impact. I'm gearing up for a bicycling fundraiser that promises to turn our support into something truly extraordinary. 
 

Here's the incredible scoop: your donation makes 10x the impact. A generous group of MCC donors has stepped up to match all Cyclathon donations. And if that wasn't fantastic enough, there's also a matching grant from the Government of Canada through our partners at the Canadian Foodgrains Bank. What this means is that for every dollar you contribute, it'll be amplified tenfold (x10) to provide essential food to displaced families in South Sudan, Syria, and elsewhere. 
 

My personal goal for this fundraiser is to raise [$200 for a 20 km ride; $500 for a 50 km ride]. 

What can $100 do? $100 feeds 1 family of five for one month in countries like South Sudan and Syria. The magic happens when you factor in the matching funds – $100 will feed 10 families for a month! 

Imagine, your contribution, no matter the size, will have the power to make ten times the impact. The heartening reality is that this ride will bring nourishment to families in Syria, South Sudan, and elsewhere. It's an opportunity to multiply our efforts and create a ripple effect of positive change. 
 

Now, let me tell you about the individuals we are supporting and how your generosity will truly change lives. Many of these families have been through unthinkable hardships – losing loved ones, grappling with ongoing conflicts, and at times facing famine.  
 

Take the example of Nyanriak and her four children. Their world turned upside down due to circumstances beyond their control and they were forced to flee their home. However, thanks to the tireless efforts of MCC partners on the ground, they have found a glimmer of hope in the form of food. But there's still more to be done, especially in the face of the intensifying global hunger crisis. 
 

Your support is crucial in extending a lifeline to those who are most vulnerable and in dire need. The difference you make isn't just numerical; it's human. It's about touching lives and offering a chance at a brighter future. Together, we can ensure that families like Nyanriak's have access to the nourishment they need to rebuild their lives and find stability amidst chaos.
