The Pedaling Hope Cyclathon begins at 8:30 am on Saturday, September 14th! Register as a rider and raise funds for this year’s project.

2019 Pedaling for Hope Cyclathon is raising funds for two projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo:

– Food and Agricultural Assistance in Fizi/South Kivu
MCC has partnered with Oasis of Culture to provide 200 displaced families with three months of food assistance and water treatment supplies, as well as educational support for 100 children. This project is being extended with funding from MCC’s account at CFGB to provide four months of food assistance to 250 households, along with agricultural training and seeds.

– Food and Agricultural Assistance in Poste Camp
In Poste displacement camp, South Kivu, MCC, and Church of Christ Congo, Ministry for Refugees and Emergencies, provide seeds and lease fields to 300 displaced families. Each family receives food staples twice a year during each planting season to help meet their nutritional needs until crops are ready to harvest. The food basket for each family contains maize flour, beans, vegetable oil, and salt.

We are excited to announce a match on the first $100,000 raised from our MCC friends. In addition, there will be a 4:1 match from the Canadian Government. That means you have the chance to make a huge impact on the people in DR Congo. We challenge you to raise more than ever!
